After every boot, my system displays "WINDOWS GENUINE ADVANTAGE NOTIFICATIONS". How would I get rid of this?

I dont think I am using genuine Windows XP Professional Edition. On clicking "CANCEL", I am able to work normally, excepting the WMP version 11 program which I downloaded, could not install. Is there a way I can uses WMP 11.
