What is a level 1, 2, and 3 observation? (please read details)?

I'm doing a presentation on an autobiography I read for school, and I'm supposed to make 5 level 1 observations, five level 2 observations, and so on. I have no idea what the heck this means and i need it in 7 hours, does anyone know what it is?
