Need advice?

I have been dating this man for 4 months. We have talked at length about what we want for ourselves in the future (i.e. personal goals, etc.) but not insinuating with each other. However, I am ready to have relationship with this man, not just date him. I feel though that he has commitment issues. He has told me that he has had very few relationships in the past but has dated alot. He makes time to see me one day every weekend & calls me 1-2 x's a week. And when we are together, he is so loving & attentive. We haven't had yet & he has never pressured me to do so, so I know he is not "benefiting" from seeing me. And I respect the fact that he respects me enough to wait & this is a rare experience for me. I don't know how he feels about me & I would feel foolish to ask him. I don't understand though if he didn't forsee something with me then why would he continue to make time to see me at all. I am so confused. Any advice?
