I have been in my "bonus daughter's" life ever since she was 1 yr old, she knows I am not her mother but even though she knows my name perfectly well she insists on calling me Mommy, and I feel mean to tell her not to call me mommy, even though I have tried repeatedly to have her call me other than Mommy she won't stop, and I dont want to hurt her feelings or make her feel I neglect her(specially now that I have a newborn daughter), any advice or nicknames that she can call me please, thanks much! I really dont want to make anyone feel I am trying to replace her mother because I am not, I know it would cause me a great deal of pain if my baby were to call someone else Mommy, I think its just motherhood nature to want to feel exclusive in your children's life. I enjoy sitting outside and watching nature. I don't watch televison that much and I've enjoyed Yahoo Q&A for a few days because I like hearing what other people have to say. True Short Story: I love to collect artifacts such as grinding stones and arrowtips, so I went to a large freshly plowed field alone and it was located way back in the woods. I heard all sorts of birds and animals sounds and I smelled the musty order of a bear. Suddenly, it became extremely cloudy and the whole area became silent. Well, I didn't pay attention to the silence and the next thing I know, I saw lightening, heard thunder, and the wind almost blew me away, a tornado was upon me and I didn't have anyplace to run. From that day to this, I have learned how to pay attention and listen to the animals especially when nature becomes silent.
