Do atheists blindly follow ridiculous scientific theories?

How do you know most of our theories will be proved wrong? Of course things will change as we learn more and expand upon our current understanding. We don't throw away the past when we advance - we use it as the springboard that all current and future knowledge will be built upon. Right or wrong, giving up on science and exploration and learning the truth about our physical world is not blind or futile. It is pure stupidity to give up on everything we know and have learned just because we MIGHT be wrong about a few things. Giving up is nothing but an open door to ignorance and stagnation.
