Seeing a guy who wantd me to meet his parents...now we are friends...?

I met a guy in my apt bldg around the end of september, and things took off...i enjoy being with him etc, and he wanted me to mee his family...his dad likes me, and i get along well with his mom...her and have ended up just talking while the guy in question watches tv...etc...anyway before thanksgiving he and i had a talk and we are now continuing just as friends, but he has still asked me to go to their house for supper...and ive spoken to his grandmother on the phone and he told her I was great...soo my question... he and i ended our romantic endeavours because I wasn't ready or willing to sleep with him...and long term he says he never wants to get married again...so between the two...we are friends and care about each other...just wondering about his motives ... i get the sense he cares and wants more but is stubborn and won't give in... so what about the going to the parents...does it mean anything or should i stop worrying...thinking I should just go with it, and enjoy him.
