Why do I need a civilian physical?

The MEPS Dr's don't care if a civilian Dr has cleared you or not. They are paid by the government to do all the screening of applicants for service. If they find something wrong and it's a waiver-able condition, they will most times provide the waiver for you. I would start all over with a new Recruiter and go through the process again and when you get to MEPS fill out the medical form truthfully and ask for any waivers that will clear you for entry.
